A Hybrid Ultra Violet (HUV) press uses a photo initiator in the ink, which when it passes under a Lamp in the delivery, instantly ‘cures’ the ink, ie – it is dry immediately, so product can be despatched or passed to finishing (no marking). In combination with a unique set of drip-off varnishes in the coating unit and the 5th print unit, the HUV press can also offer a myriad of deluxe textured finishes, which create many visually impactful effects for Covers, Packaging and Brochures.
