Sullivan & Lambe Brochure

Project Overview

Precision deserves precision. Ireland’s premier stone specialist needed a brochure that felt as exacting and considered as the work they produce, no embellishment for its own sake, just materials, print, and finish doing the talking.

The Job

A 240 × 170mm brochure with an intentionally undersized front cover, trimmed back to 110mm wide. The stepped format creates a sharp, architectural profile from the first glance, a subtle but deliberate nod to stone fabrication and the discipline behind it.

Print

The 4pp cover was printed 4 colour litho on 300gsm uncoated stock on the Komori GL540 Advance, with a 12pp text section on 170gsm uncoated throughout. Uncoated stocks leave nowhere to hide, so ink density, dot gain, and inkwater balance were carefully tuned. Calibrated curves were monitored throughout the run to maintain clean solids, controlled detail, and a calm, confident finish.

Finishing

Gold foil was applied to the front cover on the Heidelberg Cylinder, with temperature and impression dialled in to achieve crisp definition on the uncoated surface. Saddlestitched using gold wire sourced specifically to complement the foil, a small material decision that quietly elevates the entire piece.

The Result

A brochure that doesn’t shout but holds attention. Architectural in form, disciplined in execution, and built to represent a brand that values precision above all else.
