Anglo Printers Environmental Standards

In modern society, people are becoming more conscious about their impact on the environment and are making choices to reduce their carbon footprint. We continuously make choices to adopt and engage in best practices which will reduce our environmental impact. At Anglo Printers, we have always been passionate about helping to sustain the environment and are fully committed to managing our operations to the highest environmental standards. This has led to us adopting sustainable environmental standards in relation to our print materials, printing processes and practices from ‘Green’ paper to recycling.

Successful certification by NSAI in 2018 to their Environmental Management Systems Standard ISO 14001:2015 demonstrates our commitment to the environment. We ensure that our activities do not adversely affect the environment by managing our operations in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Systems Standard. Anglo Printers also operates in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, the Quality management systems standard.

Printing Responsibly

The ‘G’ of our Komori Lithrone GL4540C printing press stands for ‘Green’. This symbolises Komori and Anglo’s stance on the environment. The GL40 promotes Green printing by reducing consumable and energy usage and lowering the carbon footprint of print.

Paper is one of the most recycled products in the world and as part of our Environmental policy, we recycle 100% waste paper from our printing and finishing processes. All waste paper is efficiently moved to a compactor via a vacuum waste extraction system and then taken for recycling.

Accreditation by both the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) highlights our focus on reducing environmental impact. All of the paper we use is from Managed sources and 95% of our supplies are PEFC or FSC certified, which provides reassurance that our products are from sustainable sources.

All our waste chemistry is recycled & we only use certified disposal experts. Our employees receive training on an ongoing basis in Chemical Awareness. This training ensures are staff have the knowledge and skills to safely work with chemicals, the associated risks and the disposal of them in accordance with environmental protection requirements. All unused inks are responsibly recycled.

In 2019 we will continue to adopt ‘green’ and sustainable policies, procedures, materials and printing technologies. We look forward to working with our suppliers and customers in helping to create a sustainable environment for future generations. If you are looking to incorporate green printing into your ‘print’ marketing materials such as brochures and flyers we would be delighted to partner with you.
