Anglo Printers Technology - Investment Programme Continues
Tue Jan 24, 2012

Anglo Printers are delighted to announce to their valued clientele, their commitment to a long term capital investment programme, despite the on-going recession which has affected so many in the print industry. Having invested over €3m in 2008 in plant and remises, this was followed last year by investment in a B2 Laminator and a Die-Cutting Machine.

“Continuing with this investment programme is essential to keep us at the forefront of the Irish Print Industry” said MD Padraic Kierans. “We have demonstrated our belief that it is imperative for us to retain our competitive position by re-investing in the latest technology, to enable the production of print jobs, faster, better and more economically.”

Kierans continued “We are delighted to announce the installation of our latest technological investment, having surveyed the marketplace we have decided to install a new Schneider Senator S-Line 115H Guillotine, this machine really is a cut above the rest.”

This High-Speed, automatic, fully hydraulic, high performance Guillotine is a class leader and has been supplied by Friedheim International in the UK. The machine was delivered and installed Week 3 in January 2012, and is now fully operational, offering an unrivalled upgrade in paper cutting technologies for all Anglo Printers customers.

Beneath the compact modern cast iron design purrs the heart and soul of the S-Line H: a direct, patented hydraulic knife drive with twin cylinders. The knife pull-down-rod is no longer attached to the knife carrier at the top. Instead it is drawn from the bottom. As a result the S-Line H exhibits consistent power and speed during each and every high-speed cut. This, together with the patented precision linear guides for the knife guidance, enables an unsurpassed level of cutting accuracy. Discrepancies in the knife’s movement have been reduced to an absolute minimum, thus prolonging the intervals between knife changes.

The infinitely variable frequency-controlled backgauge drive achieves and appreciably higher speed. While the ball race lead screw – in conjunction with the precision linear guides of the backgauge – operates in a virtually friction-free manner. This results in a lot less maintenance, and a lot more efficiency.
